Director of IT Operations
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Director of IT Operations will oversee Release Management, Balance & Controls, EDI, and additional strategic projects such as automation, Additionally, the Director will own the overall IT infrastructure, lead any offshore/onshore labor analyses / migrations, and own the PCS relationship (and evaluation of other options to replace PCS).
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
- Ensure proper Balance & Controls for all applications including appropriate reporting and monitoring is in place. Create triggers and alert protocols for missed jobs or performance levels
- Work with VP of Operations and other BPaaS leaders on automation opportunities
- Lead the evaluation of opportunities process, prioritization of options, and help drive implementation. Own the relationship between BPaaS and PCS or additional vendors
- Ensure PCS /other vendors are meeting SLA's
- Hold PCS / other vendors accountable for RCA's and any defect remediations
- Evaluate the future needs and create plan for ongoing strategy
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2-6 years of previous release and/or project management experience
- 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion as well as demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working Knowledge of Access
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Solid understanding of project management principles preferred- Formal training in project management practices preferred and advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
